THE MAKING Of A BROKEN WORLD
I wrote it while I was recovering from a traffic accident. Writing this one wasn’t easy on the body, and it wasn’t easy on the mind.
Working on these tracks has actually helped ease the pain. It’s an EP that helped me accept the fact that we don’t control much in life, and that we shouldn’t try to.
I also had a lot of fun writing these, even though it was hard, it felt very rewarding. And I experimented with some ways of writing that have defined a big part of the artist that I am today.
And the whole process was very interesting, because I wrote it like one big track, but then split it up in 3 parts.

With all the overwhelming negativity and pain wandering in the world. A Broken World has turned into an attempt of me to seal this dark energy.
Ultimately though, it’s a very liberating EP. Because it’s not that the world is inherently broken, and it teaches us that nobody is inherently evil. It’s just that we have to force ourselves to focus on the good parts, and channel the bad parts into something that may heal us someday.
There’s bad news and depressing stuff everywhere. And it always takes most attention away. Only the extreme. But there is so much beauty and good things in our broken world.
The ultimate strength is to focus on the good here. Letting the darkness be dark, and letting the light be light.
