A board with all my past releases, all in one place!

The ben berkenbosch timeline

upcoming works

The Disease is a very dark, and dramatic piece about a disease attacking the human body. It represents the different stages of a disease infiltrating and attacking. On this track I experimented with some very wild electronic elements, and I am super proud of how it turned out!!

THE DISEASE - Oct 3rd 2025

Something completely different than my usual stuff. It’s a quite danceable EDM track, but also with emotional and orchestral elements, which I think is an extremely fun blend. This will be the first thing I release in this genre and I am super excited about exploring this more in the future as well!

UNCHAINED - Q4 2025

Singularities is a track that feels so out of this world. Writing this one felt unlike anything ever before. It’s a collaboration with the legendary Ron Snijders on his guitars. And overall it’s a very existential piece, which I cannot wait to share this with you all!!

singularities - Q4 2025

The Poison CHapter 1 - 2026/2027

The Poison will be my next large album. I started production on this beast of an album, and it’s unlike anything I have ever done before. It’s super dramatic, epic, with EDM influences, and there will be multiple songs as well. This album is very personal, and I am ultra passionate about this!!

DC3: Viral Menace is a top-down game, themed as a comic book, where you have to navigate the human body. I am working closely with S-Qubed Entertainment to enhance their game by composing an original soundtrack for it. I really cannot wait for all of you to hear this, once it’s out!

Released exactly 3 years after my very first album: Frozen In Time. Lost is a 21-track album, each representing a year in my life. It’s a very emotional album, and writing it has given me a lot of comfort dealing with grief, fears, and pain. But writing this album was also where I found a lot of purpose and clarity about me as a human being, and the future I wanted to live.

2025

Life Finds A Way is an album, inspired by Hans Zimmer’s Frozen Planet II. I co-composed this album together with my friends Lorenzo, Patrick, Luke, and Zuhaib. I organised and supervised this album, and we released it with Pandora Journey. I am really proud of how it turned out.

Lawbreakers is a TV album I wrote with my good friend Pawel Morytko. It’s a crime/investigation album, with 4 of my tracks. It’s released exclusively on 7Style Music. I think it’s really cool how consistent this album feels, with both of our tracks in there.

Turn Your Back is about conflicting emotions, a battle between discomfort and comfort. A track that represents the freedom of following my own way, turning my back from toxic relationships, and finding the magic in new friendships.

Times are changing is a lush, orchestral track that I released with Wander World Music. This one has really some of my favourite orchestral work of the year. I don’t often write music this uplifting, with this sense of wonder. But I actually really enjoyed it, and feel very proud of this one!

Shitagau (Japanese for “To Obey” is a calming, Japanese-inspired piano track I made and released with Wander World Music. It’s the first time I composed for a Shakuhachi (a traditional Japanese wind instrument), which was a super cool experience.

Wayfinder is a dramatic, orchestral track, and it’s one that I am extremely proud of. It’s all made with samples, but I feel like I managed to achieve a super nice level of realism, while also having it pack a punch. Inspired by an imaginary battle, in a fantasy world and released with Wander World Music.

With Identity, I revisited my way of writing and thinking from 2021, when I wrote Frozen In Time. Fun fact: I composed this entire track live on stream on Twitch, with a replay available on YouTube.

A cover of the legendary Time, by Hans Zimmer. I went with a very ambient, but also cinematic approach. Definitely a different vibe than the original. This track is released with Pandora Journey.

Inspired by the world of Hollow Knight: Silksong, “Silk” is an 8-track album that came together rather quickly while playing Silksong. It contains both epic boss music, and chill, emotional ambiences. With an awesome artwork by LukeMans, and a lot of fun and passion on my side.

Slowing Down is a 4-track ambient piano EP. It’s this year’s fall music by me. I really love composing some emotional, chill, dreamy, piano music for the fall. And Slowing Down is the result of that. Released with Wander World Music.

Together with my good friend Ruben Camacho, we made a promo video for Novation Peak (Novation is a big synth/keyboard brand). This is a new experience for me and it was very fun to do!!!

2024

“Last Of Us” is a 6-track EP I wrote with covers from the popular games: “The Last Of Us” and “The Last Of Us Part 2”. The twist is that I used piano as the main instrument, instead of the iconic guitar sounds by Gustavo Santaolalla. These games left such a huge impact to me that I needed to write this to deal with the trauma of those games.

Extinction is a mini album by me with 6 huge, dramatic, epic trailer tracks. It’s a solo album I did for Astronic’s SYNC Division, and as a rare occasion, this one has been released publicly for everyone to hear. Which is super awesome, because I really like this album!!

My second, and final ambient piano track for 2024th’s fall season. As emotional and dreamy as possible. This track is very dear to me, and writing it felt super special. It’s released with Wander World Music.

Antagonist is a little EP by Astronomic’s SYNC Division with some dramatic trailer/hip-hop music. I produced two songs for this EP: “Emperor” and “Conquest”. And they are collaborations with the legendary Godmode. He wrote the lyrics to these songs and rapped on them.

Misty Meadows is my first ever official fall piece. It’s an ambient piano piece I wrote for this year’s fall. I sat behind the piano at a peaceful moment (which are incredibly rare in my head) and wrote this track. It’s released with Wander World Music.

Themiscyra is a collaboration I did with my good friend Lorenzo Ferrara, and with guitar parts by Ron Snijders. I really love this melody, Lorenzo and I were playing around with ideas on WhatsApp, we sent each other voice memos, and before we knew this track was born!! Eventually Lorenzo came up with a cool guitar part, and I got Ron into the mix, and he came up with an incredible solo!

A different Limitless than the single I made with Lorenzo in 2022. This Limitless is an uplifting trailer music album that I wrote with my friend Pawel Morytko. It’s released exclusively on 7Style Music.

Misty Meadows is my first ever official fall piece. It’s an ambient piano piece I wrote for this year’s fall. I sat behind the piano at a peaceful moment (which are incredibly rare in my head) and wrote this track. It’s released with Wander World Music.

The Journey Up is a very special track to me. I wrote it in one evening for a game, called: “The Legends Of Yippie”, which is a fictional game I came up with for the “Become A Pro Composer” community. At a later time I decided to rework certain parts and make it ready for its release, and I am very glad that I did!! It’s a piece I am super proud of.

Interstellar is a cover of the absolutely legendary “Day One” by Hans Zimmer. But it’s not a direct cover, it’s a very ambient and orchestral version of the theme, with a bit of a different structure. I love the Interstellar score so much, so making this felt super special and fun!! Released with Pandora Journey.

Sea Of Flames is a dramatic, emotional, fantasy, orchestral track (ahhh lot’s of words). The idea behind this track was a sea of flames, so quite literally. And I composed a score for that idea. Released with Wander World Music.

Heart Of Thunder is inspired by thunder, and man, I absolutely love this one!! There’s actual thunder sounds in there, but also strings representing the thunder blasting down on the surface. It’s very dramatic and high energy. And I released this with Wander World Music.

Lingering is an emotional fantasy piece I composed with the idea of feeling like you’re stuck in the same place. Lingering, in a way. I went for a particularly string-heavy vibe here, which was very fun to do. It’s released with Wander World Music.

Shelter From The Storm is a fantasy track that I wrote with a comforting feel, while also having an epic orchestral feeling to it. It’s I think a really cool blend and it’s a piece I am very happy with. It’s released with Wander World Music.

My first release of 2024 after having a busy January writing production music. Starfall is a track that I wrote somewhere in 2023 and it’s a very dreamy piece to me. It’s an ambient piano style that I feel very drawn too, but this is the first time I go with this specific dreamy vibe of ambience with the piano.

2023

Eternal Winter is a 5-part Christmas EP that I made together with a few friends for some cheerful holiday vibes. Something that was very necessary to celebrate after a very hard year. I wrote one piece for it, called: “Eternal Winter”

Echoes From The Past is a 6-track EP that I composed as a way of dealing with this incredibly difficult year for me. It represents the darkest days, with its darkest point: “In Vain”. It’s an EP that I will always hold very dearly to my heart. And it serves as a reminder that even the worst things can turn into something beautiful through music.

All I Know is a very dreamy, kind of weird, ambient piano track that I made within the 27-hour charity livestream. I made this in one sitting of a very long 27-hours. And every time I listen back to this I can hear the emotions that I experienced at that time, but I also just have to think about how incredibly tired I was!!

27-hour livestream - MAY 26th 2023

Oh man… I climbed the Mont Ventoux for charity, and I did this livestream. And let me tell you, climbing the Mont Ventoux is much, much easier than this stream. We did raise a super nice amount of money which made it all worth it. But at the final few hours I was so incredibly sleep deprived that I literally started hallucinating. It was kinda wild!!

Memories of the Past is Merkwood Music’s first cover album, with Zelda covers. And this was incredibly exciting for me, since The Legends Of Zelda is my favourite video game franchise!! I made covers of Fi’s Theme's, and a cover of Breath Of The Wild 2017’s Trailer, which is such an epic piece!!

Waiting For A Falling Star is a very chill piano piece I did, this was the start of a difficult and weird period for me, and in a way, writing this track has really helped me cope to some extend.

The Odyssey is my second full-length solo album. Or well, my second album ever in general! It’s one that I hold super close to my heart. Like so close that it might be more important as an organ to my body than my actual heart. This album represents a relentless emotional journey, and deals with a lot of emotions. In a very weird way it almost felt like this album told the story of what I were to experience in 2023, even though I wrote it in 2022. Wild..

At The End Of The World is a 3-track EP that I wrote together with my good friend Lorenzo Ferrara. This was my first real experience in collaborating with another artist (we wrote it in begin-2022), and I hold very special memories to this. It’s released with Epic Music World.

2022

Artemis is a super cool dark trailer album by Merkwood Music. I composed two tracks for this album: “Dark Waters” and “Admonition”. They are tracks that I am super proud of, and at the time I learned so incredibly much by making them. In general though, the dramatic/drak trailer music vibe is something I really love and enjoy!

Fissure is my first neoclassical trailer ish track that I made. I it way back in 2021 or begin 2022, I can’t remember exactly. But it’s a super fun vibe, that I have not done a lot, but really do love to do!! It just feels so fragile, yet epic.

Limitless is the first track that I released with Lorenzo Ferrara. We released this one ourselves, and it’s the beginning of a legendary future filled with epic collaboration!! It’s a very empowering track with emotional and uplifting vibes. I really loved writing this one!!!

A Broken World is a 3-part EP that helped me deal with some of the negativity in the world. To help dealing with the pain and suffering. But it was particularly something I needed to do, because I had just gotten into a traffic accident, and I made and produced these tracks with just one hand/arm, which was very special, and definitely not easy… I am all healed now luckily.

Lost in Time is an adventurous, epic album by Merkwood Music. I composed two tracks for this one: “Remnants Of Time” and “Motus Temporus”. It was a really fun album to work on, and I really experimented with these tracks, which was really fun to do!!

Coldest Night is a bit of a throwback to Frozen In Time. It’s a very special one, since it’s written a good while after the album came out, but I do feel like it’s a little part of the album in a way. It’s a very frozen, emotional sounding piece, and I really like it.

Hold Me was written with one arm/hand after I got into a traffic accident. I wrote this one with quite a literal meaning, because it was a really scary time. Especially because I was scared about my hand. But also because at that time I had just started on my first serious, paid, video game soundtrack. This piece definitely holds that feeling.

Road of Memories is an uplifting album by Merkwood Music. I composed: “Eleuthera” for this, which was really the first uplifting track I wrote at that point in time. And it’s a melody that I am still very happy with, I think it’s a really special piece, and it’s great being part of this album!!

Searching for Tomorrow is a piece that I made and sent to a label I really loved (I won’t mention the name for privacy reasons), but it unfortunately got rejected at the time. Which is an unfortunate, but very true part about the business. And I really love this piece, so I decided to release it by myself this time, which I am still very happy with. And it reminds me that failing enough times is the only way to succeeding eventually.

Helix is a veryyyy different and unique piece for me. I made this using all recordings and custom sounds that I made by myself. Which was a super fun thing to do!! I got stuff from the kitchen and garage, and made a track out of it basically. Really fun!

We Could Have Had It All is a piece about losing and ambition in a way, but not exactly. It’s hard to explain it, but to me it feels like a very special piece, and I had a lot of fun making this, I specifically remember this.

The Void is a super dramatic and dark album by Merkwood Music, and it’s the first time I wrote music for them. I made: “The Death Of Night” and “Reality Collapsing”, which are two very dark and dramatic tracks that I am really proud of. Especially the later bits of Reality Collapsing I think are super cool!!

This track feels so incredibly special to me. At the time I didn’t know how much I would still love it, years later. This track is about the weight and heaviness an emotion can have, the way it can control your mind and reason. The weight of an emotion is so bizarre, and the music reflects that for me. I am super proud of this piece and always will be!!!

The Distance Of A Memory is about the weirdness of how a memory can feel. Sometimes they feel so recent, sometimes they feel years ago. For me, time tends to move so slow, and it’s always very weird for me to hear people say the opposite. This track is kind of about that, and playing around with these dancing guitar notes, and dreaminess feels very special to me, and I really, really love this one.

Adventure Of A Lifetime is about exploration, about infinite exploration and infinite possibilities. It’s track that sort of opened my world, writing it after my very first album, which is when I knew that would be the start of my future. I didn’t know what I wanted or who I was, and music gave me that clarity. This piece represents that.

Frozen In Time, my very first album, and it feels like a lifetime ago… I am so proud of writing this album, it represents the feeling of being frozen in time, and in a way it was a way for me to really start dealing with my emotions, which I haven’t done as much in my music before, so this is really very special. The amount of opportunities this album lead stays crazy to me. It made me realise who I was, and what I wanted to do. For the first time in my life, I found purpose. So this album means the world to me, truly.

2021

Genesis is another trailer track I did, it represents a beginning of something, which I think is a very fitting theme for my life. I think in 2021 I was born, really born. I felt like who I was supposed to be for the first time in my life. After a life where I never really got the courage to pursue what interested me, but only listened to what others thought was right, this year became a tipping point for me. And I think Genesis represents that theme incredibly well.

The very first emotional Ben Berkenbosch track. Listening back to this makes me a bit emotional. And while it’s my 4th release, it’s the first time I found the courage to share my piano playing in a piece, and ultimately my emotions too. I discovered something more than just passion and fun here, I discovered the emotional side music composition can hold. The way it helps me deal with emotions, and the way it tells stories that way is just so incredibly special to me. And this piece is a big part of that.

Inspired my Dune, I had a lot of fun at the time writing this. I experimented with some pretty dramatic sounds, and a I learned a lot of stuff with this track I think. It’s a very cool thing for me!!

Contingencies. A title that never really felt like me, but it just sounded wayyy to cool not to use. It’s also perfectly fitting for the track. My very first trailer-ish track btw, which is super cool!! I really love the melody thingy I did here, it feels super dramatic, and I think it’s definitely something I feel proud of.

My very, very first release ever. This is a monumental track for the Ben Berkenbosch cinematic timeline. It’s a track that just holds so much meaning to me, it’s really crazy. It was vacation time when this came out, and it was still Covid, so it was a very weird time. And I was very nervous about it, but then got so many positive comments and responses. It really opened my eyes, and makes me feel so proud of what I started. And I also think I chose the perfect title!!!

2004-2020

Ultimately, all my experiences in my life have led up to the moment where I decided become an artist, where I decided to open up my universe. For me this isn’t a business, this is a way of life, and it’s who I am. When I started playing piano when I was still a child, it was still a hobby. And today music became everything, which is very comforting to me.

And life wasn’t always easy. But I like to believe that all the things that have happened, all the conflict, all the pain, the suffering. I survived this far, and I learned to love myself. And I truly believe that these experiences have made me a better human being.

I am happy about my life now, and the people that are in it. I am excited about the future, regardless of what it might throw at us. And I am grateful about my past too, even though it wasn’t alway easy…

Regarding this timeline... All these releases and events are ones I can share publicly. On top of that I also do private gigs and music jobs that will remain confidential. Some of these will remain that way forever, whereas others might pop up, and when they do, you’ll see them appear.

This is just a basic timeline about my journey as a composer, and I want to thank you for reading through it and becoming part of that journey. You’re awesome!
